The Adhytmaprakasha Karyalaya came into being with the publication of Māndukyopanishat (Kannada translation of the Upanishat and Shankarabhasya) and book publication has continued to be its main stay. Sri Sri Satchidanandendra Saraswati wrote prolifically in
Kannada, Sanskrit, and English.

In addition to books authored by him, Karyalaya has also been publishing books written by his associates and disciples as well as translations of his works into other languages.
